Stocking over wild trout is biologically unsound, fiscally irresponsible and out of touch with modern fisheries management practice. Mission Statement:
The PA Wild Trout Coalition is a collaboration of like-minded conservationists dedicated to protecting, preserving and proliferating the Commonwealth’s Native Brook Trout and self-sustaining wild trout populations. Through education, intervention and cooperation with a broad range of stakeholders, the PAWTC works to protect, restore and enhance the coldwater environs that wild trout rely upon. Our efforts focus on eliminating hatchery inputs from wild trout waters, ensuring science-based management practices are followed, and allowing Nature to raise the fish.
